What an incredible few days we recently experienced at the very first Autumn on the Greens Tournament at Martinborough Golf Club.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this event was going to be something very special. The atmosphere, the warmth of the people, the beautiful new venue, and the attention to detail throughout the tournament created a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
A huge congratulations must go to Jo Loe and her wonderful team and committee, whose vision, dedication, and countless hours of hard work brought this fantastic idea to life. Events like this do not simply happen overnight, and it was obvious just how much planning and care had gone into every detail.
The golf course looked amazing, the catering was exceptional, and the overall experience was outstanding. There was such a lovely energy across the entire tournament — full of laughter, friendship and a shared love of the game.
From a Merigolf perspective, we feel incredibly grateful to have been invited to be part of the event. Seeing so many women embracing merino on and off the course was genuinely humbling, and the support we received throughout the weekend meant so much to us.
There were also so many people working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly. A special thank you to the nine-hole ladies who helped look after the Merigolf stand while I was out playing, and to all the volunteers, husbands, helpers, and club members who contributed so much time and energy over the weekend. It truly felt like a whole club effort.
Autumn on the Greens was a beautiful reminder of why golf is such a special game. It brings people together, creating connection, community, and memories that stay with us long after the final putt drops.
Thank you again to Jo Loe, her incredible committee, and the entire Martinborough Golf Club for welcoming us so warmly.
We already can’t wait for next year ⛳️✨
